My parents have an interesting story . . . I like to say when they found each other the North met the South. Literally, my Mom's side is from Canada; my Dad's from Arizona. Their ancestors' graves ~ Coleman & Wing ~ even face each other w/ the dividing line in Lehi. My Dad's ancestors are buried clear down Utah into AZ while my Mom's up north into Canada). They met on a blind date at BYU. My Mom's roommate, it turned out, was her future brother-in-law's sister, Barbara Benson Walker. Someone my Mom knew well at college was a man who had a movie made about his mission: The Other Side of Heaven! (She says she remembers him telling her the story of his being capsized in the ocean).

My beautiful Mom! |
I am the youngest of their four (two boys & two girls). It's interesting that two of us are tall blondes w/ blue eyes (both born on a 24) while the other two are short brunettes w/ brown eyes (I'd like to say both born on 5's, but I happened to decide to be two-hrs late . . . as usual ~ story of my life)!
ALL of us went to BYU! True blue ~ Go Cougars!! Yes, we have all had our share of enjoying the games live in the Stadium. That's one thing I really miss about BYU, about college life in general. In fact, my late teens-early 20's were some of the best yrs in my life. If I could go back . . .
Anyway, my parents (& fam) always loved sports growing up. They used to have it on all of the time. I actually really love watching football (any team). Half-way thru my 20's (after nearly marrying a professional European soccer player) I met a friend whose fam not only loved to play soccer, but also basketball. She could throw it like nobody I knew! We used to play together once in a while (after sticking soccer & basketball stickers on me during Institute). I really miss playing tennis w/ her & throwing a football. I'll tell ya ~ some other sports that I like . . . ping pong, softball (my bro loves to attend the Boston Red Sox & Orioles games ~ after all he got his MBA from Harvard after graduating as a Valedictorian ABYUSA President under Elder Jeffry R. Holland). It was interesting, too, to learn my bro gave a speech on the importance of our U.S. Constitution only to find out yrs later we actually descend thru one of its signers: Jacob Broom. I was fortunate in that I not only graduated w/ two degrees from that school, but also got to date another one of its ASBYU Student Body Pres's who, I found out later, used my bro's slogan: Winning w/ You!
Growing up we had a pool table in our basement, so I enjoy doing that. Speaking of pool . . . I also really love swimming after posing like a jelly fish at my best friend's house eating unlimited crab in their cabana every summer. We used to roller skate every weekend among other things. But I have to say my fav is dancing! I think I missed my calling in life being dancer, or at least an ice dancer as I thoroughly enjoy watching pairs. I've been skiing a few times, tho I'm not a pro. Used to love kickball, flag football, & dodge ball at school. Believe me, I could outsmart those boys. 'Course speaking of grade school . . . I have to admit my fav sport was always "kissin' tag." & who could ever give up swinging?!! Man, I miss those money bars.

Btw, I have one thing to ask . . . would you wear U'r sch's fav Snuggie?!! ;-)
