83 Yr Old Kendall (just had a b-day)

This is my 83 yr old friend, Kendall:
He was eating a 2 wk old cookie he said never tasted better!
He offered me a bite, but I declined.
I met him last yr in my Heber LDS ward.  He used to write me love letters & give them to me at church all complete w/ the latest Wave (Heber) news(paper) clippings he most enjoyed (or thought I would).  Now he just sends them in the mail ~ since I joined a SLC singles ward last January (when our new schedule conflicted w/ my Music & the Spoken Word performances).

Every once in a while I call him on my way to rehearsal.  Tonite I just called to report on how school went (since yesterday I complained how so many didn't have their violins yet ~ 3 wks into school)!  Ugh ~ you can imagine how happy I was when three of them came in beaming today having their violins in hand.  I was simply breathing a sigh of relief!

Well, Mr. Kendall always has a yummy treat for me & tonite was no exception.  I was in the mood for dessert, so I got a bit of his fav:  homemade tapioca pudding.  Always delish!

I even got to take some home!
At one point, I took a little nap.  I was tired!  Had taught a cello class at 8 a.m. w/ 4 violin classes back-to-back (about 20-35 in each).  Then, I spent hrs putting together books for my stu's.  I had a bit of a fit w/ the hole-punching machine, but once I got it working I was on a roll.  So much so I stayed till 6:30 p.m.
~ just to get it done.

I'm so excited b/c we have 18 new little cellists in our beginning class!  That's a record for me.  The H.S. was happy to hear that.  Just got done auditioning & placing all of the violins this yr.  The upperclassmen enjoyed the process.  Next week we're going to take a listen to all the violas & cellos.

Kendall says I'm sitting in my chair! haha
Love his cheesy grin!
