A Few Cookin' Tips

Last nite
after visiting some cousins . . .
I was glad I made the hr drive to attend Dessert Nite w/ friends (even tho it meant another 30 min. drive afterward back up to where I live).  The guys in attendance were very knowledgable on subjects near & dear to them.  One was cooking!  
I learned a few basics:

1) yellow onions for cooking ~ white for hamburgers & salads


2) when coating chicken or fish ~ use mayonnaise (it has eggs in it & sticks better) . . . also, try whole wheat bread crumbs &/or crushed almonds as coating

3) learn about spices online b/c they can really punch up the flavor ~ such as rosemary on red potatoes

Btw, we had homemade cherry cheesecake for dessert w/ real cherries on top!  Yum
Altho, I have to admit . . . my fav is blueberry!
